About Clarity HR Studio

Cynthia Adjei, founder of Clarity HR Studio

Hi, I'm Cynthia

FOUNDER, CLARITY HR STUDIO

I started Clarity HR Studio because I've spent my career watching the same pattern play out and I knew there had to be a better way.

The pattern I kept seeing

Time and again, I've seen managers and business owners treat people management as an afterthought. Not because they're bad employers, but because running a business is relentless, and HR feels like it can wait.

So they wait. And while they're waiting, things quietly go wrong. An undocumented absence here. An informal chat that should have been a formal process there. A dismissal handled on instinct rather than procedure.

Then something happens, a grievance, a disciplinary that wasn't followed correctly, a redundancy that wasn't properly documented, and suddenly they're in reactive mode. Firefighting instead of leading. And in the worst cases, it ends up at tribunal.

An employment tribunal doesn't just cost money, though the payouts can be significant. It costs time, energy, reputation, and the trust of your remaining team. It is one of the most disruptive things that can happen to a small business, and in the vast majority of cases, it was entirely preventable.

That's why I built Clarity HR Studio. Not to add to your admin. To protect you before you need protecting.

My background

I started my career as an HR Administrator at Marks & Spencer, then moved into recruitment at Waitrose. They were not senior roles, and that is exactly the point. Those years taught me what it feels like to be in the thick of HR admin with no one to hand it to.

Transport for London is where everything came together. Working across one of the UK's most complex workforces, I built real depth in employment relations, people management, and HR practice that has to hold up under pressure.

Along the way I earned an HND in Business and Finance, a degree in Law and Sociology, and a Masters in HR Management, all while raising a family. Looking back, I honestly don't know how I managed it. Thanks to my wonderful parents, mostly.

Then I spent 10 years running my own business, managing a small team with no HR department behind me. I got to know other small business owners along the way, and I kept finding myself helping them untangle their HR.

These days I also work as a fractional HR advisor for a company with more than 50 employees. So I see both sides of the desk every week: how big organisations do things properly, and what small businesses are left to figure out alone.

I built Clarity HR Studio to close that gap. Small businesses deserve the same quality of HR that big organisations take for granted, without needing a full HR team to get it. I've been on both sides of that desk. I know what you need.
